    Weird Plug ?

Hey guys, I've been playing with things in my engine bay trying to diagnose a weird accel/deccel problem and I came across a cut wire. I have no idea what the wire is for but it does look important. I followed it back to a plug that's below my diagnostic plug. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what ya guys think. Take care.

    -Chris

Is that the trigger wheel sensor ? If that's the case then no its not that wire. The trigger wheel (vr) sensor is all connected and tidy. I don't know what it could be to be honest. Can someone check there bentley manual ? Mine is ordered, just waiting for it to show up.

Thanks for the reply. Is this plug for the impulse sensor ? Where would the impulse sensor be located ? Thanks.

The cut end of that wire usually has a ring on it that slips around the #6 spark plug wire. As others has said, it's not really nessecary.

It actually causes the ECU to not only fire all the injectors at once, but it also puts it into a reduced performance mode as it has less overall control of the motor.

                Yes, its needed
