Tranny Noise with Redline MTL, anyone else?

There is a weird RPM related clicking sound comming from my gearbox. Kind of sounds like ball bearings rolling around in a metal bowl, lol.
I ran some redline D4 atf in it for the winter, and the noise started after I put that in.No shifting problems at all, and it shifted great when cold.
I just changed it over to Redline MTL because I thought it would be a little thicker, and the noise is still there, anyone have similar problems?

MTL is typically pretty thin, if you just swapped it in versus a thicker fluid on a nearly 20 year old tranny, you're probably going to hear a lot of noise. As Mike mentioned in another thread, you can run the same Redline as the diff fluid in there if you want to quiet it down, but it's gonna give you a little more resistance when shifting.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Well everything was fairly quiet with regular valvoline gear oil, then I switched to the D4 atf which is really thin, then to the MTL which is slightly thicker. Do you think there is any harm done by continuing to run the MTL?

Summer is approching here in houston, I suppose the MTL isn't really needed, it won't be cold.
So you recommend the Redline 80w-140? Will there be shifing problems if the tranny isn't warm even in 90F weather? Who sells this stuff online?
