I'm with Toby on this one. It's so easy to check and one less thing to worry about.

Yes, there is no clutch safety switch. And I prefer it this way. If the car stalls and won't start back up, you can use the starter to get it off the road, or onto a trailer.

And just FYI, your reverse gear is way lower than 1st. So if you have to "drive on the starter", reverse is a good option to get off the road.
