    New wheel bearing issues.

    I was installing a brand new wheel bearing and the races just fell out, when removing the little plastic piece in the center. Races did not want to just drop back in. The whole race assembly was a pain to put together as the other side would just fall out when trying to wiggle the other side in. Is this typical? I've installed a few wheel bearing in my time and never had this issue. I know sadly, that the race will be stuck on the spindle upon removal. I always used FAG and this is the first time I tried something else as FAG as been on back order for weeks. Of course they have them restocked as of this morning.

    Is it typical for races to literally just fall out? I reinstalled and am currently running it.

    I can't remember the exact process when I did my (FAG) front hubs, but generally speaking bearing races should not just fall out.

      I do remember the exact process honestly. I loved how simple the front was when replacing with the whole hub.

      The FKE (whatever the name is) I had a very hard issue keeping the races retained within the bearing. I didn't think that was correct.
