    Bad AFM

Alright, heres my story. yesterday I thought i fixed it but I didn't. Then the car wouldnt spark so we thought the coil was bad. It wasn't. We unplugged the AFM and the car fired right up. plugged it back in and the car is back to its normal shitty self. So here this could my AFM be bad? Would this be causing my shitty ass start up and whatnot? But the funny thing is when i took off the vacuum hose to the crankcase/valvecover from the throttlebody the car fired up perfect and idled great and everything. The hose is not clogged and There are no other vacuum leaks for I have checked thoroughly multiple times any help?

Yes, it is probably locked in the closed position. This would not allow any air to go through to your engine. Easy way to test is stick your finger in there to see if the flap moves. If it does move then I say the sensor is shot inside the unit.

Regardless you need a new AFM.
