    Yeah, it's suprising how many people didn't know that after years of owning their cars.
    It's ok if you feel stupid. Most people do once they realize it was something so simple.

      I am also so particularly anal most of the time bout the car. Like i would not look to twist the knob thinking that i would break it

            I have the same problem - but yes, I know about the dimmer.

            My gauges USED to be bright, but then I got all my fan lights fixed -- that's when the gauges got dimmer. However, the 1 light behind the air temp control went, its going on and off. When its off, the gauges are brighter. When its on, they're dimmer. Is there too little power overall or what?????
