i came out to my car and it wouldnt start, no starter action what so ever. I tried jumping it but no crank still so i tinkered with the alarm and disconected the hijack shut wire. I jumped it again and it started but now when i stop the car at a light or flip on the highs the car almost dies and if i shut the car off its dead to the point where it wont crank at all. I drove the car for about 20 min to try and get it charged but that didnt do anything, is my battery just dead to where i need a new one or do i have a different problem?

Your batter needs to be fully charged. Is your altenator putting out a full 13.1V to 14.5V ? If not you might need a new altenator. -
I am in college and i dont have any of my tools to check. I think i am just going to buy one tomorrow and check. So do you think it might just be the battery?Comment

Stop by your local autozone or like store they normally offer free battery and altenator testing.Comment

If this battery is not charged but has the ablility to charge will it still check out as "good" after taking it to a autozone?Comment

They will load test it. If it can't deliver a decent rating it's pretty much toast when winter comes.
Thats the CCA rating.Comment
