    Clicking injectors?

    My car has been rather noisy. The guy who fixed it replaced the O-rings and such, and also was sure to adjust the valves. I've heard loud valves, and this is not the valves tapping.

    He said it was clicking injectors, and they are pretty loud. Not so much that they are louder than my music, but when I have my CD off, they are quite noticable. Is there anything I can do, or is this a problem that should be fixed??

    i know what your talking about, but ive never herd it on an e30, only on a turbo civic with 44lb ones.

    he said there was nothing he could do about it.

      the only ything you can do to elimiate the injectors is to replace them with new ones...or rebuilt/cleaned ones :)

            Thanks cam.

            Know anywhere I could get cheap new injectors, or rebuilt. I'm keeping my engine all-stock except for JC Chip (so it doesn't become a money pit), so I'm just looking for stock #. What is the stock lbs, I aslo want ot keep the MPG on my OBC fairly accurate.

            What all else would i need, O-rings? any gaskets, etc.? thanks guys

              well you can alwasy hit up a mustang forum, and pick up some 19 pound injectors for cheap as they were stock, they go for around 20 usd, and then cleaning would run you another 20 (i think) and you got a good set of injectors.

                  Stock = 14.6 lbs / hr on 325i.
                  Stock = 18.1 lbs / hr on 325e, 318is, and 535i (according to this app chart.) http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsBMW.asp

                  I dunno why BMW went with the smaller 14.6 lbs on the 325i; possibly to run higher pressure(3.0 bar vs. 2.5 bar on the eta) for better atomization of fuel, but WTF knows.

                      I was planning on it. But I changed my mind. I'm going to go bone stock......or at least that is my plan.....as long as possible. So 19#ers would just mess with things. (C///M is getting them, btw, going to good use)

                      Also I'm shallow and want the OBC to still have the MPG what it is.

                          I have 5.0 injectors and an M30AFM, my mpg says its getting 25.5 mpg, and when I fill my tank up it says I have 380miles left.
