    Speedometer Way Off

I pulled my cluster out today to try and fix my speedometer. Worked intermittenly, or when you tapped on the dash. I tightened up some connections and put it back together. Now it works, but it is WAY off. It's telling me I'm doing 80mph in 4th gear at 2100rpms in my ETA!!! Before it died on me it worked fine and all I did was take it apart and re-assemble. Anyone have any ideas?

When you reassembled it you probably put the needle on wrong....

Is it always off by the same ammount (ie it says 50mph when you are doing 30 and 80 when you are doing 60)?

If so take the needle off and make sure you put it back on in the correct spot. I believe there is a line below the 0 point that can only be see when the speedo is out of the cluster.

Didn't pull the needle off, just took the speedo out of the cluster. If I screwed up the green plug on the back of the speedo, would that have an effect? I think it some kinda interface or something. I can't think of anything else it could be.
