bitch clip is out, now what?

I got the bitch clip out, now my questions is how do you remove the entire shift assembly from the car? The bushing farthest toward the rear of the car is still in and I do not know how to get it off,

The back end of the shifter assembly that sits in that bushing will slide forward out of it.

    Will

I'm having a really hard time pulling it forward out of the bushing. I had to unbolt the tranny crossmember just to pull the bitch clip out after i unlatched it, is that normal?

An the bracket bolts above the headshield and cat correct?

look right behind the metal that bracket is attached to, 1 single nut and two little tabs hold it on, supper simple to undo,

then drop the whole shifter arm assembly out and pull the bracket off the shifter arm, pull hard and the rubber will come over the nub at the end..

          super easy.

and you can leave the shifter lever in since you are taking out the whole shift-arm/support assembly

Cake compared to the bitch clip - just use a wrench and a lot of very small turns.

or in my case. You dont have to remove them. The PO neglected the assembly so long both clips wore through the bushings

Yes, it's normal to have to unbolt the crossmember to get the clip out.

Also, this isn't that difficult even if you dont have that stuff removed. I've done it a bunch of times w/o removing the exhaust. You can get it out without removing anything, but I dont recommend it at all.

Just removed the headshield (you should be able to wiggle it out with the exhaust installed). And lower the center support bearing to give you clearance. This will make your life 100x easier.
