Getting a car to pass smog (sniff test)

Car is a 325 super eta that is registered non-op. Been sitting since April 2018 and I’d like to pass smog and register it so I could start driving it.

Any tips to give myself the best chance on first test?

    Ideas include:
    - change oil
    - new air filter

Anything else? I’m not 100% sure where the car is at in relation to current emissions performance.

I’ll drive mine for a minimum of 30 minutes before i get to the station, leave it on, go check in and go back out and keep the RPM’s around 2,500 to keep the cats nice and warm until they roll it into the testing station.
Edit: check the spark plugs, if gummed up, throw a fresh set on.

Good call. I have a spare set of spark plugs... might as well throw them in there.
