    How to remove IS spoiler

I was trying to today to repaint it. But it's a bitch. Lil plastic nuts that I keep jumping. Any easier way to do it? Oh....and the fucking 10mm socket fell down into my trunk lid and was a bitch to get out.

See...cracked spoiler. I want it black.......

it has like 6 10mm plastic nuts that hold it on. It might have some double sided tape too. Now you need to just pull it off. Alot of shitty repaints will spray right over it, rather then removing it and painting under etc... so paint might hold it on too.

No, i mean. Any tricks for getting those damn 10mm nuts off?

My socket keeps slipping on them. Damn plastic.

Pliers or just bang a slightly smaller socket onto the nut if you've already stripped it.

use a 6 sided edge drive socket rather then a 5 billion sided one.

I had the same problem with mine even with using a 6 sided socket, cause the nuts were already stripped from the PO. I used a soldering iron and melted the nuts off, may not have been the cleanest or safest way, but it got the job done.

Yeah. I was using a six-sided one. It worked sort of for one them, but when I ran into difficulties with getting traction with the others, I can to fight to get it tight again.

I'll try banging on a 9mm one, or melting them. Then replace with metal.
