Power Mirror Switch Owes... funny problem actually

So I just picked up a 91 318is. The power mirrors, both passenger and driver side, adjust side to side fine. But when I try to adjust them up or down, the switch still just moves the mirrors side to side, even if I'm pressing the switch up or down.

Safe bet the switch is faulty?

Switch, or door connector. I'd swap the switch if you can, and see if that fixes it. Unless you want to get down and dirty with a multimeter.

(heck, the first thing I personally would do is pull the switch and check for corrosion, and at least unplug it and plug it back in)
