    afm: need to be level?

Hi: have an 88e engine. Does the afm need to be level?? It came to me with the afm pointing about 25 degrees down.
    thanks,

Have you ever ran the engine with the afm cover off and watched how it moves the sweep arm on the circuit board? Try it, blipping the throttle by hand. I wouldn’t think being level is critical but bmw didn’t make it that way, so I think I would return it to the way it is supposed to be.
    My son has the 1987 325e, 2 door, 5speed
    I daily the 1989 325i, 4 door, 5speed

Thanks for the reply, I think I will try today to move it back up to as level as I can make it:).
