    Trailing arm bushing bore diameter

    Hey r3v:

I work at a company that builds off-highway electric vehicles as personnel carriers and on one of our designs I ended up using e30 trailing arm bushings in a custom trailing arm assembly.

We are having a debate as to how tight to make the bushing press fit into the trailing arm. Can someone with a trailing arm that is out of a car take a set of calipers and measure the bore where the bushing sits?

Does anyone know how much force on a press would be required to install OEM rubber bushings?

    Thanks

Another way to get the bore diameter is by measuring som derlin/poly bushings as they just slide in the arm.

We do have a set of poly bushings that we are referencing but I am hoping to get a good measurement of the metal sleeve that they go into.
