    Running issue

If i turn my car off for like 5-10 min and then go to drive my exhuast note is kinda funny and the car had about 1/2 power and misses like a bitch. It has only been doing it in the hottest part of the day and when I get gas at QT? It also seems to smell when it misses too but no smoke of any kind? and it runs a bit warmer when it does that. Could it been that my car is pinging? I have been using 91 octane and everything in the fuel system is new. I dunno whats wrong because it runs fine when its cool outside. The car has a chip in it.

Could be a bad O2 sensor, bad FPR, or maybe the charcoal can purge valve, or and I'd check this first your cold start valve is stuck.

I replaced the Cold start valve last year and the FPR last month. but I will try and unplug the CSV and see how it runs.

I am going to throw this out there because I think it makes sense based on your symptoms. Check your cat converter. A plugged cat will kill your performance and make the engine run warmer due to increased back pressure. You also mentioned the change in exhaust tone which supports my theory.

What is QT? You said it only does it when you get gas there. Could be H20 on the gas.

QT=Quick Trip, a common gas station in the Mid-West

I am fabbing up a new exhaust this weekend, hopefully. I will see if that fixes it, I have replaced almost every sensor except the o2 sensor and the AFM. I would have replaced the O2 sensor already but I am waiting to put it in the new exhaust.

              Thanks for the input guys
