Anyone running a PWM controller for their cooling fan?

I've been running an 80/88C fan switch for years now but it is far from reliable. There's also a huge inrush current when my 16" pusher jumps from low to high speed and the 10" puller comes on also.

A far more elegant solution is a PWM (pulse width modulation) controller. Spal used to make one but it seems to be discontinued. There are controllers out there from Jegs, Flex-a-lite, Derale, Hayden, etc. Does anyone have any of these? I see a lot of mixed reviews online for each manufacturer so I'm looking for personal experiences.
