    headlight problem

This probably is a dumb question, but today after changing out some vacuum hoses I wanted to see how the car would run. So, I started the car up turned the headlights on and then without thinking cut the ignition off without turning the lights off to go get something out of the house. When I turned the car back on i noticed my left headlight had died.

I turned on the highbeams and all four lights lit up, but when i turned the high beams off, my left low beam would not stay on. I tried swapping in new fuses (#13 for left low beam, right?) but nothing works.

So... does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I don't want to get stopped by any cops ><.

if you have sealed beams try swapping them to see if its a bad one.

well the problem sounds out of the ordinary, but did you check all the connections in the back of the headlight? there shouldnt be a problem with shutting off the car with the headlights on, i do it sometimes and nothing like your problem ever occurs. it is probably something that relates to you working on the hoses, but check all the connections

I'm guessing that they are sealed beams since all 4 light up with the highs. You'll have to buy a new low beam since it is burned out thay ain't very much..

Ellipsoids light up all 4 if your car was wired for them.

Thanks for the fast responses guys. I'm thinking i might've loosened something when trying to take out that damned vacuum hose that runs from the top of the valve cover to the throttle....or not

Are there two elements inside the low beam, and thats why they light up when I use the high beams? They're non-ellipsoid lights btw.
