I'm new to the whole mechanics thing, but am pretty techincal minded. Enough about me, lets talk about my car.
It is a 1984 318i, 5speed. I just purchased it a few days ago, and am already having issues. Initially, I tried to start it after I bought it, and the engine had trouble starting. It would toss like it had just started, then nothing. The starter motor would keep trying to start after the toss. Eventually it started up. Fast forward a few days, and now I go to start my car, and the starter motor keeps going, but no toss. I jumped it as the starter motor started sounding sick, but it made the same sound. Now the pullies don't even spin when I try to start it, and a clutch drop was unsuccessful.
I take it I am an idiot and blew out my starter motor, but I have been wrong before. Any suggestions?
