    Finally !!!

after having purchased to my car in APR '05 w/ a blown 2.7-- and after all this time (can't say that i've worked everyweekend on the car :smt011 ).. i was finally able to start it up and drive it around the block --!!!

with no previous BMW experience, but with the help of R3Vlimited, i was able to identify, and purchase an 'i' motor, install & wire up the whole thing.

when i started. i didn't even know that there was a existed a mechanical diffrence between an eta & an i, hell i didn't even know wht motor my 325 came with.

far from being complete, as it started today, installed on the car:

    '88 m20b25 41000 original miles
    173 DME
    12lb single mass flywheel
    IE shorty headers (open)
    IE urethane motor mounts
    getrag 260 w/amsoil mt90
    Sachs clutch/pp
    SSK Z3 2.8
    belt driven Fan delete
    new timing belt
    bottle caps on 185/70/14

parts in the garage eagerly awaiting today!!!

    Koni yellows
    IE stage III's
    Lamin-x (optic blue and yellow)
    CRX Si seats
16" SSR's on hoosier road race slicks
15" Momo Quasars (no tires yet, prolly Azenis RT-615)

of course the car has been sitting, so brakes are mushy and need to be addressed
and so begins the lightening of the car..
    and further impovements..

    thanks folks !!

    I am STOKED !!

Why CRX Si seats? I've never liked honda seats, they always feel funny and uncomfortable to me.

Glad you got it running though! I would have addressed brakes while everything was apart personally.

lol.. i hope it doesn't -- its been so long because the car is not a daily driver and only when i've had absolutely nothing to do (bear in mind i'm married,3 kids and recently just bought a new house) would i committ to working on it ..
this year, back in June, some lady offered me fair money for the car as is -- i was gonna sell it, but then she flaked.. in july, i came across a 91 325ic $2500 was gonna buy it -- but the car didn't run so i was skeptical, and didn't buy it, also in july i gave a deposit on a E46 wagon, my kids screamed bloody murder, so i bought a F150 (yes, for a support vehicel) and vowed to finish the E30..

          i'll keep plugging along

            1. i've had these sitting/garaged for years..i finally have a place to bolt them
2 lighter than the e30 and
3 offer more support than the seats from the ETA.
            4. BMW sport seats are pricey when in great condition

I'm not sure what Honda seats you may have sat in -- but they are all fabulous.. check around
