clutch pedal doesnt come back up

im having trouble with my clutch pedal coming back up..like when i push the clutch pedal down it engages the clutch just fine but when i remove my foot the pedal doesnt come back up on its own..the clutch disengages but the pedal is still depressed halfway...sometimes almost to the floor...any ideas or suggestions as to what it might be or where i should look to fix it...thanks in advance..

replace slave cylinder, BLEED BLEED BLEED. should work..
if it doesnt work, try the master cylinder.
