AFM cleaning question...

I know many of you will think its a stupid queston but I have to ask!
Can I clean my AFM which lately gives me troubles (Idle not steady,
at one time the engine felt clogged and didnt exceed 3000rm,only once though)
using some kind of what is generally known as "Carb cleaner" or any anti rust,anti moisture spray (spraying directly in the intake while the engine s running) or this would be a bad thing? How can I clean it a bit? :roll:

I belive they sell mas air flow cleaner that you spray into your intake. I Dont know if you could use that though.

just that the thing off and wipe it out with paper towels, carb cleaner/ windex would work if you needed it..

i doubt your afm is that clogged though, its more likely you intake manifold or ICV (if idle related) or throttle body..

Anyone can do that. I think he means how do he clean the afm filament.

Thats right...I also cleaned this (See the photo) with the cleaning spray and now it doesnt really seem to respond to my adjustments...Hm...:roll:
