    BLAHH AFM stalling problem

    I was messing with the AFM adjustment screw in hopes of fixing some throttle wierdness that i think may be turbo related... well anyways, the car was on and i was moving the screw in full rotations trying to keep count of where i was in relation to where the screw was stock. well at some point i go to turn off the car because the adjustments im making arnt doing anything noticeable. I turn it off and restart it and it dies instantly...i turn it on again and have to keep it rev'd a bit...if i let off the gas, it dies. it also throws a check engine light that goes away when i mash the gas, but when i let off it comes back. ITs defiantly AFM related...could i have possibly blown the AFM?

    ok, i unhooked the battery hoping to reset the computer and started up the car and everything seemed ok! it idled normal again. But as soo as i hit the gas, it throws a check engine light and dies.

      ok...something really wierd...

      i guess i wasnt letting the computer reset itself as i took both cables off the battery and left it for a good while, and now the computer it trying to find its idle again.

      the car is throwing me a check engine light and runs shitty and when i hit WOT the car just cuts out...as soon as i go back to part throttle it will kick back in again....BUT when i hit boost, at WOT the check engine light goes away, and it runs like new! but off boost at WOT it just cuts out....nothing..

      im sooo confused and frustrated right now....all this from adjusting that little fucking AFM screw.

        Are you adjusting the screw or spring? It sounds to me in the beginning, that you are either running to rich or to lean(the spring is either to tight or too loose). Other than that you are going to have to play around with the AFM a bit(as I did, because when I had bought my AFM it was not set at stock position). Drive around ALOT, just adjust the spring one hair to the left or right, and rev up your car and listen to how it drops in the idle. Overall that had helped me but I dont know, u have a turbocharger :roll:..
