    Sunroof crooked?

My sunroof has issues. A few months back it stopped opening, so I took it all apart and observed. The cables/sliders were at different lengths. So I messed with the cables and motor till they were at the same spot. Then once I ran it again, they were messed up. Is there anyway they move at different paces? I put it together back messed up but am hoping to work on it this weekend. Any ideas?

Unbolt the motor and let it hang there. Slide the sunroof around so that it is in the closed possition. push the "open" button so that the motor spins backward. Now, hold the "closed" button until the motor stops. THe motor is now set in the fully closed possition. Bolt he motor back on, and test it all out.

Thanks for the info, I got it working great until put the inside liner back on, now it stops 1/4 inch short most of the time. I can't figure out whats doing that, but its cold out now so that can be a spring project.
