    car running cold still =/

Hi, i just got done replacing a crapload of parts including water pump, timing belt, tensioner, all other belts, headgasket, valve cover gasket thermostat, and coolant temp sensor.

The reason for doing this was because of a suspected blown headgasket due to there being oil in my coolant but not the other way around. My car was also running cold (at the first mark), so i replaced the thermostat.

Ever since I've replaced everything my car runs better, but now it runs between the 1st mark and the middle. Could this be due the way i installed the thermostat? The arrow was facing up, but just straight up, not in relation to the housing.. if that matters.

I have no clue what the prob could be.. any suggestions? (its an 80 degree thermostat)

M42s run about 10*c hotter, as do M50s, M60s, et. al.
