Steady Steering But Serious Vibrations at 90mph !

The Title says it all.The little weights on both front wheels are hwere they where supposed to be,I got an alignment last week and the steering s fine,BUT there s a heavy serious vibration at around 85-90mph and it stays there till Vmax (110mph).
    Any suggestions please ?!?

I was all ready to nail you with the "drive the legal speed limit" thing, but oh well. I don't know what the speed limit is in Greece.

OT: Maybe wheel bearings or bushings starting to go? Who did your alignment/wheel balancing?

Speed Limits are rediculous but sometimes you just NEED a quick blast !
      Anyway,are these expensive to fix/replace ?!?
I m almost totally broke atm...

Have the wheels re-balanced, check to see if any tires are out of round, check your lug bolts too before you drive the car further. I almost lost a wheel and completely trashed a tire cos of a rear wheel being lose. MOST IMPORTANT, don't take the car up to speed till u sort the problem.

Guess What ?!? I took the car for a spin last night and drove up and down a highway getting to 150km/h for a moment just to feel the vibrations again and nothing happenned (!).
No vibrations up to 155Km/h...WTF ?!? Any ideas people ?!?

Maybe something inside one of the wheels, or something stuck in the tread of a tire. Could be a lot of things. Glad to hear it cleared itself up, though.

Yeah either balancing your wheels or aligning your tires would fix that problem. The same problem happend to me and i got my whole car alligned and it fixed it.

I had an alighnment recently. What I realised after that was that in a straight line, for the car to move absolutely straight,I have to steer a really small angle to the left.I really dont think that was there before cos I m quite anal about everything and this would have bugged me.Anyway, tyre balancing is cheap so I think i m gonna try that...

F**k it! I ll just mount my steering wheel straight (it seems that the mechanic didnt pay enough attention and mounted it with a slight offset to the left) and leave this alone, untill something breaks or bents enough to be changed/repaired...Anyway,when i let the steering wheel going straight, the car goes on dead straight...

PS.Never thought that tyre pressures would make such a BIG difference to the car s behaviour (!!!).I was runnin 35psi at the rear and 30 at the fronts and the car could powerslide with 2nd and 2,5k on the tacho ! Great, but not fun when your steering is somehow fuck3d up (and 4 turns lock-to-lock!).

Mine were the cause of *some* vibration but I dont know if they are as serious as what you describe. It probably couldnt hurt to do them if they are original though, it really helped the cars feel and how it performed on the track.

Running funky pressures can be really bad on a daily basis. On the track I run up to 41lbs but for the street I always run about 32-34 to even our the tire wear. Running that high you are probably only burning a small section of the tire.
                        Im now E30less.
