    Throttle body/ coolant hose question

I have two hoses coming into the front side of the throttle body. The seal around this small piece of metal which connects up with the throttle body is leaking. Now I am not sure if there is a bmw gasket in between the two metals and if I need to purchase some sort of sealant to place in between the two metals.

Does anyone have any advice on fixing this small problem?

Get a two sided fitting, and hook the two hoses together.
It's there to prevent Throttle plate freeze up, you may get .5hp out of it too, since you would no longer heat the incoming air with coolant.

What about the two little penis like fittings sticking out? Is it safe to just leave them as they are?

      Thanks

On my old m20, I had the same issue. I used a connector pipe to join the hoses and the car didn't show any ill signs through the brutal winter.

I think someone mentionedthe ill effect of bypassing the t.body coolant lines as some kind of a pollution issue or some other odd thing.

I got female rubber tips shaped like valve stems from the local auto parts store to seal the nipples. I forget which section they were in but just go looking in the section with the rubber bushings and stuff.

I didn't plug the nipples on mine, it really isn't necessary.
