    89+ bumper bolts

I tried everything to remove these and they just won't move, the bolts are so old and rusty that, they are stripping and i am only using a socket wrench.

i am lead to believe that something else is going on, maybe they aren't rusted on. I started drilling at one of the stripped ones. getting through the metal isn't an issue, but how long are these bolts. I've drilled in about 3 inches now and it doesn't seem as though i got through it yet? Or am i now drilling into something else.

    NEED help-getting higly annoyed now

Which bolts are you referring to? The ones accessible from underneath? Heat them up, soak them in PB blaster and they should hopefully break loose. Can u show with a pic which bolts are giving you such a hard time?

its the ones you are talking about....i tried all of the above, and i got no love. I did all that stuff and then put a wrench on them, and under my own strength they stripped. :( so drilling seems to be the only option i have left. But how big are these damn bolts. or how long?

I would give it about 5 inches long. Mine were a piece of cake to take off... Does your allen wrench fit really tight?

fit real tight, had to tap it with a hammer to get it in right, due to corosion ect. They are five inches long....son of a bitch, i need a bigger drill bit.

alright the rear bumper is off, i just removed the bumpers still attached to the bumper shocks-fine with me

the front bumper is a different story, i drilled and drilled, those fucking bolts are way too long to drill out. Now i know the rear bumper shock has 4 bolts holding it onto the bumper. I looked at the front, there is one bolt viisible with the bumper strips off (from the front), the question is, is there one on the underside, or two?

if there is only one in the front i can easily just drill that baby out, instead of the 5 or 6 inch long bolt that was "supposed to remove." if there is one on the bottom i might just have to drill a small hole in the plastic.
