    Car won't start

The new E30 won't start. It was running fine when it was delivered, and I went to go out and start it up, and nothing. I turn the key, and I get is a very quiet, dull click. He also just got the car back from the shop having a starting problem fixed. Anyone know what it could be?

Battery is dead, jump it, then check alternator output.

I was there at the time I would not think the battery was dead since the headlights turned on bright as day. The power windows also worked at full speed. The click does not sound like the starter either. It sounds more like a relay or something. Very quiet.

There may be enough power for the windows and lights, but not enough amperage for the starter. Try jumping it first, if that doesn't work try something else, a jumpstart is easy and free.

He may be right Andy. The car did sit for a long time undriven.

Don't you wish E30's had a VOLT METER???

Ya, true. I can come over tomorrow with the battery jumper battery thing we have if you want. It will have to be after I get back from snowmobiling though.
