318is vs. 325is rear diff question

They are both LSD's correct? Are they the same?

Getting ready for the swap.

the 325is rear end is a large case diff that can take more power....the 318is features a small case diff..its said that the small case diff can take up to 210-ft/lbs of torque, but at the same time it said that the m20 has shreaded them apart in just a week but i guess you can find that out which one is true or false casue i have no idea...good luck with it

LSD was an option for the 318is

The 4.10 was indeed an option on the 318is. I would go large case just for peace of mind though and wouldnt trust a small case on an m20.

Will a 318is/325is rear diff require a different drive shaft if installed into an early 318i or will be a direct swap ?
