The other day cleaning my engin compartment. Nothing electircal got wet. The spark plugs might have gotten a little wet but nothing bad. I used very little water. Now when i start the car my idle jumps. If i rev the engine, and let it come down, It will go down to about 500 then come back up to 800, then down and up... so on. Some times it does it, sometimes it doesnt. I dont know what this could be. One thing i did do was i took the battery out. I Dont know what this could be and i want to get rid of it asap. Please help.

Ive only driven it about 2miles so far, hopefully thats all it is
I had thought it was going to be just a little water in the sparkplugs and it would dry out by today, but now im just starting to worry a little bit.90 325is

Have you tried disconnecting the icv (to see if the problems stays or goes away) or trying to see if its a vacuum leak?Originally posted by rcwellsMine does this all the time. I have been on the verge of replacing the icv but it is intermittent so I deal with it. If you figure out what it is let me know.

Yeah, I did unplug the icv, and it actually seemed to help the first time I did it. I did that again the next time it the idle surges occured, but it didn't seem to make a difference. ??? But I was told that it was not good to run it with the icv disconnected so I kept it plugged in. To address the issue of a vacuum leak, I could NOT find one. And now that I think about it, since I adjusted my valves, I haven't noticed any idle problems.. So, you might check your valves. I probably will buy a new icv but there are other projects that need to be handled first. Lately it has been running okay, so I am putting it off for now.Originally posted by e9nineHave you tried disconnecting the icv (to see if the problems stays or goes away) or trying to see if its a vacuum leak?Originally posted by rcwellsMine does this all the time.
