Use the top one...thats the one i've alwasy replaced them with. The bottom on is from an e36 i believe.

both styles are found on the e30's, the selector rod it self is different to match the two joints. So pick which one matches the rod you have, or find the rod to match the joint you want.

go to realoem.com and find out which one you really need.

if you must.. get the M3 rubber shim instead of the felt pad on stock e30s.
