swap engine trans , brakes into my 318i from a parts car 325

Hi i was wondering if its easy to swap the engine trans and brakes from a 87 325is into a 84 318i? I jsut got a 87 325is for parts and i was just interested in this swap. Also does it consist of some modifikations? I do have the whole car that i can take parts off. Please some one let me know if u did somehting like this or know anything about this swaps. thanks

Honestly? Its more work then it is worth, resale value for the car will still be non-existant. That... and it is alot of work.

It can be done if you have the time and place. I have done a few, about 4 or so 4cyl to 6cyl swaps. It is alot of work, but if you know what you are doing, it can be done (motor wise)in a couple of days. I always prefered the 4cyl cars here in germany cause they were always lighter and alot more stripped down and seemed to be alot straighter. plus the bodys most of the time were not worn out. there is no non bolt in modification you would have to do other than welding in the AFM mounts.

I got some experience will bimmers cuz i parted out 3 bimmers before. I think this would take me about a week to do? maybe? lol I do have some time now that i could spend on this car. The 318i is in great exteroir conditon and has ground effects all around, thats why i would like to swap everything. Any more coments welcome..
