no start when engine is warm... help!

I've searched but have not found what I'm looking for, so here is my problem:

My 85 325e starts fine in the mornings and when the car has been sitting for a while. However, if I go into town to run errands or make short stops, the car will sometimes not start. It turns over fine but doesn't start. This has happened 4-5 times, every time I've eventually got it to start if I waited long enough. I replaced the transfer pump (in tank pump) from a parts car, so I don't think it is that.

Could this be a relay issue? Anyone have any suggestions or know of any easy tests I could do?

    Thanks in advance

You might want to try and change out the master relay (or at least clean the contacts). I had my 89 325i do the same thing (only it would also do it while driving down the road). Let it cool off and started fine. Replaced it and no more problems.
