my 88 325is has some problems

My car is starting to give me some concerns.

A week ago I was driving on the freeway (on an incline) and the engine suddenly cuts out. My first thought was maybe clutch (but there were no breaking sounds). Then I though what about the fuel pump Could the fuel pump be the culprit? The engine after 2 or 3 seconds regained its power and kept on driving normally. I don't want this to happen to me again and leave me stranded somewhere. Has this ever happened to anyone else before. My car has 233K miles on it.

My other other question for you guys is what can I do about a leaky oil hose that hooks up to the oil cooler? It doesn't leak too bad but I would prefer not to see the low oil light every 2K miles. Can it be tightened or buy another one?

    My bmw is a 88 325is

Thanks for any suggestions or help with my car.

Clean every electrical connector you can find in the engine bay. I had a similar problem, the engine would die on me, but turning off the ignition and then starting it up there was no sign of hesitation.. I immediately suspected a bad fuel relay or bad connections to the same..
I had to take out the fuel relay and clean the contact surface, 15 years of oxidation and grime finally got to it.
