we need the width of your rim, if it is 7, or 7.5 inches wide, use a 225/45...its a LOT of rubber, grips good (with right tire), looks wide, and is the same stock diatmer of 24 inches

You didn't say how wide the 16" wheel is nor did you indicate the offset, but if they're made for the E30 then you should be able to use a 225/45-16 which is a factory E30 size.

Sorry about not stating the width. They are 16 X 7 et35?(I am unsure) with a 10mm spacer.

            Thanks

In that case the net offset will be ET25 which is perfect for a 7" rim width and you can use the 225/45-16 if you so desire.

All the currently made BBS wheels for the E30 are actually VW wheels with an official BBS spacer to bring them into the correct E30 offset range.

I was looking at the tire ratings of Yokohama's and have been doing a little bit of research. I found that the Bridgestone Potenza RE750 were rated better and were $108. The Yoko's are $77 a tire. Would it be worth it for the Bridgestones, or are the Yoko's a good tire.

                TIA

I've used both 225/45 and 215/45 the 225/45 is better handling wise but the 215/45 makes the wheels look taller. You be the judge of what is more important.

I'm going to assume you are talking about the ES100's correct? It is important to give us all the information when you ask a question like that. ;)

Now, what i would suggest is this:
Go back to tirerack, and look at both tires, read through the users remarks about them. Specifiy the driving style which best pertains to your style. That will give you a better idea, but keep in mind some of those people ARE NOT knowledgeable. ;)

I love my Yoko's and think they are better than the Potenza's.
