Funny little lighting thingy, let's all try.

With key removed from ignition, switch on the turn signal, then force the turn signal lever slightly more, untill you hear/feel a little tick and leave teh switch on that position.

Walk around your car and watch your lights.

    Tell me if anything happened.

Propably nothing, I'd bet U.S. models haven't this odd thing, that comes as standart item on all euro spec e30, but some countries(like Finland:) )importer had to cut 2 wires from turn signal switch to make new cars legal.

It would be nice if someone with federalized car tried this too.
    Current:

    BMW 320i 2d 2.0 m20 -88
    BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
    BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
    BMW 320i 4d 2,2 m54 -01

What is supposed to happen? I'm guessing it will just turn on the city lights on one side of the car, so you can park it on the street overnight...
    it's just a guess though.

I can't remember if my E30 did that, but my E46 does... The annoying thing about it is the retards that walk by to tell me that I left my lights on. Only the parking lights on one side of the car are on, but you think I left all my lights on by accident?!? :weak:

My '76 1502 didn't, never checked if wires were cut.

you need to turn on your parking lights too. U.S. wont do it, they dont have the same wiring harness as the german/euro models for the lights.
