    someone answer this

i posted about this before, i am still getting these bumpers off my parts car (i just worked on it again today) i drilled 2 of the torx bolts out of the bumper (the ones you can see when look at the front of the car ( i had to drill though some plastic) The rear had two on the bottom (underside of bumper) and two which were visible. Are there two on the bottom part of the front also? I have to get these off, i think i am half way there. If anyone....JORDAN SINCE IT TAKES 30 SECONDS wants to take a pic of the inside of the bumper attached to the piece that attaches to the bumper shock i'd apprecaite it. -dave

for gods sake someone help me before i go crazy.

If you are speaking about the plastic bumpers, then there are Torx bolts on the underneath of the front bumper, too.
Why not loosen them with an Allen wrench?
The underneath bolts are cross bolts.....they must be completely removed before the bumper will come off.
You can remove the rear bumper by taking the shocks loose from the body. The four bolts are reached from behind, underneath the valance.

        HTH,
this has been tried, as well as pb blaster, directed heat, freezing and cracking them.....its down to drilling now. the large bolt just won't come out, so now i have to drill the bumper shock off. yes there is going to be a few extra holes in the plastic, although none visible

take this plastic cover just off( part no 1), this will give you full acess to these bolts. its hold by only plastic fasteners. part no 8 stays on car.

Now I know why we couldnt find the bolts for the bumper shocks themselves.. You do need to take those large torx bolts off from the bottom. The bumper will come off then. As for the shocks themselves (from the picture) it looks like they just tread into the front clip. I say those two torx on the bottom will free the bumper. Then the shocks will come off as well (if those bolts are frozen on too)

If everyone is wondering why we just didnt take the bolts off to begin with, there is more rust on them than a ford driving through a salt mine. Whoever owned this 'ix' took advantage of the all wheel drive.

you can drill those out without damaging the bumper, especially if i can get the plastic cover off. you can't remove them without drilling because you need to be able to hold the nut in place so they don't spin, and i don't have access to the bolt. Takes 10 mins to get um out with a drill if that. I'll get um. The front doesn't appear to have any bolts down underneath though.
