Z(3-4) SSK Question

Can anyone tell me the specifics on the Z4 and Z3 shifters. I've read a bunch of different information. Supposedly one is not short enough and the other isn't smoothe or something to that effect. Can anyone clear it up a bit, planning to take the tranny off. Thanks.

I put in the Z4 (2.5L) shifter. It is great. It was stiff at first but know it is just knotchy (a good thing). The knob is shorter and the throw is shorter. I like it.

I dont have experience with the others.
