    changing the CABs

i got some AKG urethane CABs and am gonna change it tomorrow, how difficult is it to change these, and i dont see any arrows or alignment marks that i see in my bentley manual, what steps do i need to go through to put these on, im assuming ill just have to figure out how to pull and press them into place without any of the real tools for doing this.

To remove the old bushing i cut them with a dremel, just don't cut into the metal. To but the new one's in I used a peice of 2x6 with 2 C clamps and press them in. Just try to tighten the C clamps at the same rate

      CAB orientation

Did you get the plain or offset CAB's? The plain are not orientation sensitive. But the offset bushings go in with the hole closest to the mounting tab.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

True, scince the non offset ones are completely solid, it will not matter how they go in. Once you get the old ones out, you can use a vice to push the new ones in. Use lube on the control arm to get the cabs off.

In instances like this, I just take the stuff down to the local machine shop and pay them $20 to remove and press everything, it's a lot less of a headache.

what orientation do the CABs go into the lollipop, i see one end is all smooth with a smooth opening to where the arm goes, and the other end is flat but has a funnel shape to it, im assuming the funnel end goes onto the control arm first and the smooth end faces the rear or the car? correct

Around Knoxville most machine shops don't want to waste their time with such mundane jobs and local auto shops won't do it unless you let them do all the work to your car because they're money grubbing dicks.
