                  Then no, it won't work. That tranny doesn't have the 2 ears sticking up on the back side that the aluminum piece clips to.

                      Sorry to bump a old thread but I was wondering if the swap would work on a 85 325e ? Thanks in advance.

                          Unless the trans has been replaced, no. They didn't put the mounting tabs for the alu console until mid '86.
