    so whats the difference...

    ok a year or so maybe 2 years ago my instrument cluster main board died and while troubleshooting (before i found out what the problem was) i replaced the SI board with a motometer SI board (i have vdo gauges) afaik nothing is messed, so can anyone think of something that might be wrong that i just wouldnt notice?

    As far as I know that SI board is fully compatable with the VDO cluster.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Anything from 4/86 up should be compatible. VDO cluster parts are compatible with Motometer parts within this time period. Anything older than 4/86 are compatible the same way.
