I put in new strut bearings last summer, and the old strut bearing caps I was using didn't fit the new strut bearings. I think I used Meyle bearings, but not positive. The old caps were too small, so I've just been using duct tape to hold them in place and keep the dirt out of the bearing but there's gotta be some proper fitting caps to cover up the opening at the top. Does anyone know where to get some?
Is there a cap that fits new strut bearings?

But those are the small size caps. The dealer only stocks OEM caps, and thats the small size ones, too. There's about a 1/8" gap all around the cap when sitting in the new bearing.
I've seen engine bay pics where guys leave this opening open, but somebody must have found a source for the right size cap?Comment

Wrap it in electrical tape until it's a snug fit.
Thats what I did tonight and I don't forsee them ever randomly coming off.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. But the thing popped out after a couple days. The electrical tape is soft(ish) and doesn't stay in. I actually tried it twice, and just gave up on it.
I was pretty annoyed that the new bearing dont fit the old caps and Meyle doesn't include new correct fitting ones. Oh well.Comment

Maybe you can find something that will work at you local hardware store. The one here has all kinds of different plastic caps that would work, assuming you could find the right size.Comment
