    S14 carnage!!!!

    So, any ideas how this could have happened?
    There was NO damage to the cylinder head. at all.

        Is that the sub 1k engine from BC...if it was I was considering buying that for my 2002....I feel for ya man...

          yep...
          No worries, I bought it as a parts motor anyway. The cylinder head is good, and really thats all I care about. I just like to have M parts on my shelf ;)

            no history on the motor at all. Timing chain and guides are new, and the cylinder head looks to have been replaced.

              I saw that same kind of damage once in my mustang, according to my mechanic, the previous owner bored the cylinders too much, weakening the sleeves, one failed and I ended up with a bent rod and broken piston also.

              Looks just like my cylinder did.

                          There was no water in the oil in the cyl head. :(
