OBC light

My backlight in my obc went out and I figured, ok replace the bulb strip. Well I luckily had one sitting around so I swapped it over and it still doesnt work. The bulb was brand new and the old one wasnt burned out. Anyone had this happen?

What also happened, and I cant confirm this or not, is that the bulb that lights up the buttons is working all the time. I had thought it only came on when I used the computer for something then it went out, and/or only worked sometimes.

I soldered new bulbs onto my existing lightstrip and it worked for about a month, but then only worked intermittently after that. Do all of your buttons light up, or just the ones with orange squares on them? Those stay on all of the time for me.

But anyway, can you see that your display is actually working in the sunlight? Maybe replace the fuses.

See, i thought it was a fuse because it seemed to go out the same time I was installing a stereo, but all fuses were fine. I was looking inside the dash last week when I had it all apart and there is a white clip coming off the wiring harness that doesnt have anything going to it. I also found a stray wire off another harness that I didnt know what it went to. Doesnt go to the obc though, cause it didnt make my light work like I thought.

If I can find the wire for illumination, I may just hardwire it.
