Menaing of service indicator

I just did a reset on my service lights, it worked great, now i have a string of green lights in my dash, could someone explain how that thing works ?

Before i had the "inspection" word on top and a red light on the right sometimes. (even i understood that) :D

Now I have all the green lights on minus the left one.

Mi car is an 87 - 316

the green lights work their way down 1 at a time, till yellow, then red(and when the red comes on, it will say either oilservice, or insection) depending on what you need.
the more green, the better.

And the clock symbols lits every 2 years, meaning brakefluid change and inspection if you havent driven the service intervall full yet.
