Fast Idle + Surging / Hesitating Issue
My car ('89 325i, manual, 122k miles) starts and idles at around 700-800rpm for about a minute. Then it runs slowly up to about 1600rpm and stays there.
When I drive the car, it also surges / hesitates momentarily at various engine speeds and under various conditions. Can't seem to find any trends.
The cap / rotor are new. Spark plugs, new. Ignition wires, look good. Oil / filter, new. Air filter, new.
AFM? ICV? Fuel filter? What else?
