car sputters and than catches itself idling

ok its happened twice now in two days.... once at a light once in the morning in my driveway before work

car is idleing and then it kind of hicups and the rpms drop to like 250 and fuel mile gauge jumps to 20 or so for a fraction of a second and then all is normal...

it throws no codes (1444 on check engine)

any idea what would cause that... it has been rainy the last three days... maybe its just wet... im stumped... its only done it within 5 minutes of starting so far one right after i started it and once after about a mile of driving...

i did have my airbox out two days ago when i was looking for a leak i have somewhere but i plugged everything back in and hooked everything back up...

i was thinking it could maybe be a bad connection in the AFM plug but i dont know if that would cause it... i plan on cleaning the contacts as soon as the rain dies down..

its started to take not start up right away either... before it was trun.. vroom... now i have to hold it for a few seconds once in a while... turns over great just doesnt seem to catch... and actually fire...

and again all withing the last three days... im hoping its rain related =(

check all your vacuum hoses, might be a problem related to a lose/disconnected hose somehwere

Oxygen sensor? My car does the same thing, but very rarely. Doesn't sputter hard, and I don't have a problem cranking the car... :?

its probabally not your 02 sensor, otherwise it would throw a code.

you could have water in the dizzy, also could have a bad tps. dirty injectors clogged fuel filter. dying fuel pump.

You find out what it was? If its the oxygen sensor I hope to replace mine since my car has the same symptom. Keep us updated.
