    Post your rates...

What are the spring rates you guys with GC's run? Im thinking about getting these in the future and I'm looking for something pretty stiff, ride comfort isn't a deal with me. What would be good rates for the track, auto-x, and a daily. Just want some opinions.

    350 in front (250.600.350).
    500 in rear...but I'm runing a larger diameter, taller spring (2.5" ID, 6" length, 500 lb).

The G-C guys don't take into account what region you live in, only what you use the car for. If you're in Cali where the roads are nice, you can get away with softer spring rates. If you go off roadin' a bit in those Illinois potholes, I'd suggest something on the stiff side.

Average of what I see is about 400 front / 600 rear

I went with 350f and 450r on 6" springs for my custom perches , just got them yesterday so I dont have them in yet.
Will the shock valving not have allmost as much impact on comfort?

World of difference. With your shocks set really soft it isn't near as harsh as full hard.

if I were to do it again I'd go with 400/550 or so... 450/600 is the tiniest bit too stiff for some roads

I have the softest rates on the forum.

                  300F : 475R

After a long talk with the guys down at GC, this is the setup we came up with. I WISH we had glassy highways like you guys in Cali, but the potholes here can swallow small children. They are also 6" springs, so that I can return to stock height for winter. I ordered last Tuesday, they should be in any day now hopefully.

I think its a great compromise, especially for the horrible roads we have here in the NE. I have very little body roll and brake dive when driving aggressively on the street. I haven't yet taken it autocrossing or to the track yet, but I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works.
Another thing worth mentioning is that I still have Bilstein Sports on my car, which I regret keeping when I switched from Eibachs, but I couldn't really swing spending the extra $500 bux or so on the Koni's at the time. I'm planning on getting Koni SA's for the rear pretty soon, then upgrading the front shocks at some point later.

350/475 (with new 6" rear spring!)

Good overall. Little bit stiff/jaw-breaking. Hold onto your tooth fillings! ha.....Too stiff with 16", but ok with 14/15s.

Have noticed some body lean though, Looks like sways make be on the To Do list eventually......

Untrue. I double checked my spring specs when you asked me if my front spring was 6in, I only have 300# fronts. Must have given the same advice to you. They do work well.

So I have 300F:475R, we tie for the wimpiest rates around.

Is everyone here running Koni SAs, or another adjustable shock?

Or are you on something else, like Bilstien Sports?

I have Koni's, and from what I've heard from people with bilsteins, I'm glad I paid the extra for the konis, because it seems like everyone with bilsteins wants to upgrade
