    OBC question

If you change the battery and you have a 13 button OBC and no factory radio... youll have to put the code in the OBC to get the car to start correct? I know the code for the factory radio. Are the codes for the OBC and radio the same? If so... what if the OBC didnt come with that car? Is there a way to find the code out? Thanks everybody!

I have thirteen button OBC, and a big hole where a stereo once was. I've changed the battery many times, and everything works fine. Didn't know the OBC was coded. The OBC code feature is for vehicle immobilization, and as far as I know only is on if you set a code.

On older models you must take the OBC harness from c104 socket and plug it to original socket, on later models I don't know what must be done to get car running with OBC taken off.
